    Our Bronx Expeditionary Learning High School has begun crew orientation, where incoming students learn to work as a team, communicate successfully through conflict, and to rely on themselves and each other to navigate the challenges of the wilderness.     We're NOT waiting for Superman to give our teachers an accurate student attendance system. Using his computer science training, math teacher Jesse Olsen, from our Validus Preparatory Academy, has built an online system called Impact that tracks student attendance, grades and behavior class by class. It’s so successful it’s now in 21 NYC public schools and was recently adopted by Teach for America!
