  • Launch will provide structures that give teachers time to reflect, plan & learn from one another.
  • Launch teachers will receive an average of 15-25 days of professional development each year.

School-Based

Geoffrey Roehm – Co-Founder and Executive Director – Geoff was a New York City Teaching Fellow and taught for six years in Harlem, while serving on the School Leadership Team and the School Consultation Committee.  Geoff was a Principal Intern in Harlem and is currently serving in a year-long leadership residency program at High Tech High in San Diego.  He has an M.A. in Secondary Education from CCNY and an Ed.M. from Columbia University Teachers College in School Leadership.  Geoff received his B.A. from Middlebury College.

Evan Kilgore – Co-Founder and Principal – As a Teach for America corps member, Evan taught for three years in the South Bronx before returning to school to receive a masters degree in school counseling. After two years of interning as a school counselor Mr. Kilgore was hired at Explore Charter School as Dean of Students and After-School Club and Sports Coordinator. In 2009 Evan was a Leadership Resident at Explore and served on the school’s leadership team.  Evan currently serves as the Director of School Culture at Explore Charter school.  He received his Ed.M. from Columbia University Teachers College and his B.A. from LSU.

Our Board

Jonathan Harber – Schoolnet Co-Founder and CEO – Mr. Harber has been working in the field of education for over twenty years.  He is the founder of four award-winning education software companies, including: Diva, KinderActive, NewKidCo, and his current company Schoolnet Inc.  Mr. Harber also serves on the Board of NYC Outward Bound.

Reggie Williams – SVP, Strategy and Operations, BET Networks – Mr. Williams has worked in the fields of law and entertainment for many years.  A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law, Mr. Williams has worked in operations for MTV Networks and BET Networks.  Mr. Williams also serves on the Board of NYC Outward Bound.

Mark Abramowitz – Partner, Troutman Sanders LLP (Retired) – Mr. Abramowitz served as an attorney for forty-five years at some of the top law firms in New York.  He is a long-standing member of the NYC Outward Bound Board as well as the national Outward Bound Board.

David Goldban – Goldban and Goldban PLL – Mr. Goldban has worked as an attorney, specializing in real estate, at some of the top law firms in New York City for the past fifteen years.  He previously served as the Associate General Counsel for Edison Schools Inc. and helped to manage and negotiate all facilities related needs.

Grace Lee – Mutual of America Capital Management Corp. – Ms. Lee, a graduate of Stanford and Harvard Business School, has worked in the field of finance for over twelve years at institutions such as Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns and American Express.  She brings vast experience in financial analysis and investment research as well as prior mentoring and tutoring experience.

Jasmine Anderson – American Express – International Consumer and Small Business Services – Ms. Anderson, a graduate of Stanford University and Columbia Business School specializes in marketing for American Express.  She also has several years of experience working for the Posse Foundation, a well known non-profit that helps underserved urban youth gain access to college.

Our Partner Organization (NYC Outward Bound)

Suzanne Tillman – Regional Director, Expeditionary Learning, NYC Outward Bound – Ms. Tillman has extensive experience in education, having worked for the New York Citywide School to Work Alliance, The Gateway Institute for Pre-College Education and the NYC Partnership and Chamber of Commerce.  Prior to her work in the field of education, Ms. Tillman worked for many years in Human Resources at Pfizer.
