Leaders’ Core Values
The Expeditionary Learning School for Community Leaders is a community that understands and commits to living out our core values. The Leaders community has defined our core values to be:
LEARNING: We seek new learning opportunities to foster our development as educated individuals who are truly free and capable of pursuing our passions wherever they may lead.
LEADING: We develop and demonstrate self-confidence, self-discipline, tenacity, boldness of spirit, responsibility, compassion, integrity and other qualities of leadership necessary for success in life both in and out of school.
CONTRIBUTING: We encourage and add to a nurturing school community inwhich members of all backgrounds, academic abilities and interests thrive. We act as positive agents of change outside the school walls to support and be supported by a larger community of learners.
EXPLORING: We develop the resilient mind, body and spirit of a leader through Outward Bound adventures and service learning that challenge us to explore ourselves, our community and the world.
