Our Partners are Committed to Sustainability
Our students participate in learning expeditions, which include opportunities to leave the classroom to experience learning hands-on. Our students will have experiences with leaders in the field of sustainability such as builders, architects, planners, farmers, environmental activists, and policymakers. Below is a preliminary list of our partners and the roles they will play within the school:
New York City Outward Bound
Our lead partner, New York City Outward Bound brings the expertise and educational philosophy of Outward Bound and its Expeditionary Learning approach to our school. Outward Bound will challenge our students by connecting academic content with real world issues and support our teachers with innovative professional development.
Grow NYC
GrowNYC provides fieldwork sites and runs programs such as Learn It, Grow It, Eat It and Training Student Organizers. www.cenyc.org
