Central to MAELS academic curriculum are long-term, interdisciplinary learning projects that motivate students to do far more than read textbooks: they inspire students to get out into the real world, conduct experiments, do fieldwork, interview subjects, consult with experts, and create high-quality work and products that they present to the public as evidence of their authentic learning.
