More than 100 students from five high schools, ranging from 9th-12th graders to alumni, attended NYC Outward Bound Schools’ Professional Pathways Fair at James Baldwin on Thursday, May 23.

Representatives from 18 different industries including medical, construction, digital marketing, technology, teaching, public service, and more, provided attendees with valuable insight into a variety of career opportunities. In addition to providing students with information about required training required for various careers, it also served as a successful networking opportunity, connecting students with professionals who have practical advice for their futures.

Many thanks to Lauren Peckler, Manager of Postsecondary Planning, for organizing the event; Sharon Holden, School Counselor/Director of Future Planning at James Baldwin for co-planning; CAMBA’s Learning to Work team for their exceptional day-of support; and Tasha Henry-Wilson, College Counselor at Leaders and Molly Willner, College & Career Counselor at West End Secondary School for bringing students to the fair.
