Mayor Bill de Blasio has named our board chair, Carl Weisbroad, to lead the City’s Planning Commission. Weisbrod’s public service includes spearheading efforts to transform Times Square in the 1990s and revitalizing Lower Manhattan after Sept. 11. As chairman of the City Planning Commission, Mr. Weisbrod will also serve as director of the City Planning Department, where he once served as executive director.
