Paola VitaChief Advancement Officer
Paola has worked with NYC Outward Bound Schools since 1989, and currently leads the organization’s fundraising and communications efforts. She successfully completed NYC Outward Bound Schools’ capital campaign enabling the organization to purchase and renovate its headquarters and program center. Paola was instrumental in helping NYC Outward Bound Schools transform from an organization that offered programs to schools to an organization that launches and operates schools in partnership with the NYC Department of Education and is helping to redefine what educational excellence looks like in New York City’s public schools. She has an extensive background in education, counseling, and youth development. Prior to her current role, Paola spent over a decade instructing and directing Outward Bound field and school-based programs. She graduated from Brown University and received an M.Ed. in counseling and education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
