Alumni Spotlight: Sotonye Douglas ’11 & Maleka Stewart ’15

Outward Bound USA hosted its first Alumni Spotlight on Instagram Live on July 28, featuring two NYC Outward Bound Schools alumnae. Maleka Stewart (Channel View ’15) — who recently finished her pre-med studies at Middlebury College and will be attending grad school at St. John’s — interviewed Sotonye Douglas (Kurt Hahn ’11) about her first year of medical school at Quinnipiac and pursuing a career as a doctor. Sotonye also offered valuable guidance on how to navigate the medical school application process, build a professional network, and other tips to manage stress during challenging times.

Maleka and Sotonye continued the discussion during part 2 of the series on August 4, offering advice to recent graduates on interviewing, professionalism and the power of mentors.
