- Celebrating the Class of 2020
Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
It’s been a challenging spring for the Class of 2020. Despite disruptions in learning, distance from their peers and their teachers, and the loss of loved ones to coronavirus — our seniors have made it to the finish line. This week, they will graduate, certainly not in the way they expected, but with no less fervor, unity and pride.
We’ve gathered stories and scenes of celebration from across the network to showcase the unique ways that our schools are celebrating the achievements of their resilient students.
Graduation Parades
Unable to gather for graduation due to coronavirus, several schools this year opted to hold drive-by “Graduation Parades,” delivering caps, gowns and diplomas to their students’ doorsteps. What a fun and unique way to ensure that the Class of 2020 was still celebrated for their hard work!

As an educator amidst the pandemic I had lost touch with what makes teaching such a powerful experience...the close relationships you create with your Ss & the community you serve. This week @WHEELSnyc seniors got their caps/gowns/diplomas hand delivered. Damn, that felt good. pic.twitter.com/7HJe0v0qFR

Virtual Graduation Ceremonies
In lieu of in-person graduation ceremonies, schools across our network held virtual graduation ceremonies this year for students. We invite you to watch these celebrations from wherever you are!
