College-Bound Senior from Leaders Featured on NY1

Gabriella Babskiy, a senior at Leaders High School, a NYC Outward Bound School in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, was featured in a NY1 story about students who are changing their college plans due to COVID-19. Gabriella’s top choice was Penn State, but she opted to stay closer to home and attend John Jay College, a CUNY in Manhattan. She says her decision to live at home while attending John Jay has helped put her mind at ease, and is a more financially stable decision, given the uncertainties of what college will look like in the fall.
