NYC Outward Bound Schools has a 36-year history of integrating social, emotional and academic development (SEAD). Learn how the skills fostered in an outdoor immersive learning experience can more fully support community-building and academic success in the classroom.
This PD workshop is open to ALL NYC educators. Both educators who have participated in our professional development before as well as those who haven’t will find this experience useful.
Breakfast & lunch is included all three days. CTLE credit is offered!

Each day of this one-of-a-kind PD will focus on a SEAD-based experience and draw from NYC Outward Bound Schools’ staff experts — Instructional Coaches, Crew (advisory) Coaches and Adventure Programming leads. Take the time to become the student before you return to your school as an educator!
