To promote the uniqueness of all students in the classroom, Eric Shieh, music teacher at MELS, a NYC Outward Bound School in Forest Hills, asks groups of students to collaboratively perform a cultural song of their choosing. The process can be messy and challenging, but the resulting harmonies create a beautiful learning experience.
