Our Channel View School for Research suffered enormous damage during Hurricane Sandy – and then hosted Casco Bay High, a sister Expeditionary Learning school, for a weeklong collaborative study on the effects of the storm on their Far Rockaway community, which NY1 covered in detail. The study was part of a broader, longterm learning expedition on climate change and energy policy.
