Let the games begin!
This spring, NYC Outward Bound Schools is hosting a Virtual Crew Olympics (VCO) to bring together Crews from across the network to maintain a sense of community and encourage some friendly competition among students during this time of physical distancing. Each middle and high school will choose one Crew to represent them at Virtual Crew Olympics. Schools with both a middle and a high school can choose to have a Crew from each.
To help select which Crews to send, we have devised three “Crew Olympic Trial” challenges that all Crews can participate in throughout May. They require collaboration but can be done synchronously or asynchronously, and do not require an extensive time commitment. In addition to these challenges, we’ll provide coaching support to Crew Leaders on how best to facilitate the challenges and engage their Crews.

The Crew Olympic Trials are three challenges that all Crews can compete in during the month of May to decide which Crew(s) will represent their school in Virtual Crew Olympics.
