Crew Connect
Our Crew Connect community building program encourages students to foster connection and belonging with their peers by taking part in fun activities and collaborating to solve problems. Students begin by building connection and collaboration with their group, and have opportunities to take initiative and ownership of their learning experience.
In the spring and fall, Crew Connect takes place either on-site at the participating school or ideally, in a large city park like Central Park or Prospect Park. In the winter, we offer Crew Connect indoors at schools. We encourage schools to book a full day of programming with us (5 hours for one group, or 2.5 hours each for two groups) to maximize their time.
This program is best experienced in small groups, teams, or within the Crew structure — NYC Outward Bound Schools’ signature advisory structure, typically comprised of 8-16 students and an adult advisor.
We also offer Crew Connect to adults (teacher teams, groups of staff, leadership, etc).
Pricing
Crew Connect (2.5 hours):
$1,000 per Crew
- 15 students per Crew
- Morning: 5 Crews max. (75 students)
- Afternoon: 5 Crews max. (75 students)
- 150 students max per day
Crew Connect (5 hours):
$1,600 per Crew
- 15 students per Crew
- 5 Crews max per day (75 students max)
