Join Team NYC Outward Bound Schools

NYC Outward Bound Schools is proud to be an Official Charity Partner of the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon! On Sunday, November 3, the iconic 26.2-mile race will take runners through all five boroughs of New York City, starting on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge on Staten Island and passing through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx, before finishing in Central Park.

We have five marathon slots available to runners to join our team this year. Each selected team member commits to raising a minimum of $3,500 in support of our work to provide equitable, immersive and joyful learning experiences to NYC public school students!

As an official Team NYC Outward Bound Schools runner, we guarantee your spot in the race and cover your entry fee. You will be provided with the tools and support to help you fundraise. Please note:

If you are interested in running with Team NYC Outward Bound Schools, please fill out our Runner Interest Form below.

I serve on the New Leaders, the junior board of NYC Outward Bound Schools. I’m always so impressed by the mission of NYC Outward Bound Schools and the incredible work the organization does to bring equitable and joyful learning to students in our city.

The NYC marathon is my favorite race. It’s my hometown race and I love the energy on race day. It’s exhilarating for participants and spectators alike, and it brings out the best of New York!
