On May 19, 2021, we honored three longtime champions of educational equity in New York.
NYC Outward Bound Schools hosted its annual fundraising gala on May 19, 2021 at 7pm ET, and for the first time, held the event online. This year, we honored Richard Stopol, retiring CEO of NYC Outward Bound Schools; Dr. Lester Young, Jr., Chancellor of the NY Board of Regents; and Hon. Mark Treyger, NYC Councilmember and Chair of the Education Committee.
Our student-led program also recognized the dedication of our network’s teachers, principals, social workers, advisors and school counselors, who supported our students through an incredibly challenging year.
