- Student-Led Art Project Benefits Organizations Fighting Injustice
Students at Launch, a NYC Outward Bound middle school in Bedford-Stuyvesant, are leading an art project called “Launching Peace” in response to racial injustices around the country. Student artwork inspired by civil rights leaders and Black Lives Matter protests are being printed on merchandise including bags and shirts that users can purchase. All proceeds are benefitting three local activist organizations — Neighbors in Action, Color of Change and Black Lives Matter.
